The second Twenty20 International (T20I) of India’s three-match series against Sri Lanka takes place on Thursday evening at the Maharashtra Stadium. Kasun Rajitha was the only Sri Lanka bowler who did not take a wicket and was expensive in the first T20I, but he made a very impressive debut here seven years ago and we expect him to keep his place in the side. The team is not concerned about any injuries ahead of this game.

Pathum Nissanka was bowled at the Wankhede Stadium after receiving a good delivery from debutant Shivam Mavi. However, he is a calm individual who has the potential to make a significant contribution in this match.

In Mumbai, vice-captain Wanindu Hasaranga produced with both bat and ball. He made quick runs after dismissing Sanju Samson and will be an important player for Sri Lanka in this game.

The spinner Maheesh Theekshana trapped Shubman Gill lbw in his first over, changing the game’s momentum. He is a consistent wicket-taker in all formats and on all pitches.
