Gujarat Titans were heavy favorites in their most recent match against DC in Ahmedabad. Shami’s powerplay spell left DC reeling at 23-5 in 5 Overs. Given GT’s bowling arsenal, one would have expected GT to finish for no more than 100-110 runs at that point.

However, Pandya became more defensive in terms of field placement after that point, and the batters on the crease were able to escape with a 50-run stand. One of the set batters later took it on and led DC to a match-winning score of 130 on that day.

That loss has taught Hardik and his teammates a lot. They must maintain their aggressiveness on the field and with the bat. Others in close contact with Shami include Joshua Little, Rashid Khan, and Noor Ahmed.

GT’s bowling is in good shape right now, and we believe their key bowlers will deliver against RR. Saha has been inconsistent at the top recently, whereas Shubman has been consistent.

GT has also been impressive with the bat in the powerplay, and with Hardik finding it easy to score runs even on tricky pitches, we expect GT to have another strong start in this game.
