Indian Premier League 2023: Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bangalore – 65th Match Preview and Updates

Sunrisers Hyderabad have been eliminated from contention for the playoffs. They will now play their final home game of the season against RCB. In their most recent game against GT, the Sunrisers were impressive with the ball. They failed miserably when it came to chasing down an attainable total.

In terms of recent performance, the visitors, on the other hand, stand in stark contrast. RCB will build on their record victory over RR. The bowling, which had been costly for most of the season, finally paid off for RCB in a must-win game.

Parnell, Bracewell, and Karn Sharma all performed admirably. Bracewell is a capable all-rounder, and RCB will almost certainly use him against SRH. Though the RCB lineup includes players like Lomror and Anuj Rawat who can play big shots, they rely heavily on the big three.

To say the least, Hyderabad has been inconsistent with the bat, and we believe they will be on the back foot in this match.

The 65th Match between Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bangalore will take place on May 18th, 2023 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (Match Odds – 2.25):

Preview:

Sunrisers Hyderabad have had a forgettable season so far, with only four wins from a possible twelve. This team has enough talent to climb to the top of the points table.

Aside from overseas players such as Markram, Brook, Klaasen, and Glenn Phillips, the Sunrisers have some uncapped talent such as Abhishek Sharma and Abdul Samad.

At the top, Abhishek Sharma delivered some promising performances. However, it appears that the SRH management is sticking to their old strategy of relying on overseas talent to win games. There is also no shortage of quality bowling in the squad.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, Mayank Markande, and Afghanistan’s left-arm medium pacer Fazzalaq Farooqi form a formidable bowling attack. These bowlers aren’t particularly quick.

Umran Malik has been inactive this year, which is understandable. SRH require consistent pacers who can bowl tight overs at the death, yorkers, and bowl the correct length. SRH are all over the place at the moment, with no consistency in any department, and the recent loss must have shaken their confidence.

We expect an uphill battle against the visitors, but we aren’t ruling them out completely. Given their squad strength and RCB’s middle order weaknesses, they can spring a surprise.

Full Squad:

Aiden Markram (c), Abdul Samad, Rahul Tripathi, Glenn Phillips, Abhishek Sharma, Marco Jansen, Washington Sundar, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Kartik Tyagi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T. Natarajan, Umran Malik, Harry Brook, Mayank Agarwal, Heinrich Klaasen, Adil Rashid, Mayank Markande, Vivrant Sharma, Samarth Vyas, Sanvir Singh, Upendra Yadav, Mayank Dagar, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Akeal Hosein, Anmolpreet Singh

Royal Challengers Bangalore (Match Odds – 1.65):

Preview:

RCB’s title hopes are still alive after a crushing victory over RR. They not only added two important points to their total, but they also significantly improved their NRR.

RCB can earn up to 16 points, and it all comes down to NRR in the end. To help RCB reach a much higher total, Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis should be more aggressive in the powerplay. RCB’s last match against RR was won thanks to an outstanding bowling performance.

Though it was a decent total and not easy to chase in Jaipur, RCB’s batting performance was not up to par. RCB would not have the momentum going into the second half of the match if Anuj Rawat’s finish had not occurred. Maxwell is an important figure in the middle order, and much is riding on his shoulders right now.

Kohli does not appear to be in good form, but fans expect him to recover quickly. The former captain and Faf play the majority of the overs, and once they’re out, RCB’s chances of a good finish look bleak.

Maxwell is an excellent midfielder, but he lacks finishing ability on this team. DK has struggled to fit into that role and deliver good results. Batting issues may put RCB in a difficult situation against SRH’s strong bowling attack.

Full Squad:

Faf du Plessis (c), Virat Kohli, Suyash Prabhudessai, Rajat Patidar, Dinesh Karthik, Anuj Rawat, Finn Allen, Glenn Maxwell, Wanindu Hasaranga, Shahbaz Ahmed, Harshal Patel, David Willey, Karn Sharma, Mahipal Lomror, Mohammed Siraj, Josh Hazlewood, Siddarth Kaul, Akash Deep, Reece Topley, Himanshu Sharma, Michael Bracewell, Manoj Bhandage, Rajan Kumar, Avinash Singh, Sonu Yadav

Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Toss Prediction

Batting first teams have won four of the six matches played on this ground this season. It’s a good batting surface, and we expect a high-scoring match. SRH isn’t in great shape to pursue a target. With RCB and their middle order woes, they’d be better off batting first.

Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Prediction

RCB has recently lost a few games, but their win over RR has put them back on track, and they will ride the momentum. They have super stars in their batting lineup, and Siraj can bowl a great spell in the powerplay. Overall, it is a well-balanced team that will present a difficult challenge to the hosts. SRH, on the other hand, will go into the game with nothing to lose. Their most recent outing with the ball was impressive at the end, and RCB could be in trouble if they don’t address their middle order issues. Regardless, RCB will have an advantage in this contest and will be our favorite to win. Check out the odds at Cricbaba!

Royal Challengers Bangalore is the favourite to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad at the odds of 1.65.
