Sri Lanka (Match Odds – 1.30):

Preview:

Sri Lanka’s first game against the UAE was certainly exciting, as four players scored half-centuries and the team totaled 6/355. However, in the second game against Oman, only Karunaratne and Nissanka were required to bat, and they scored 37 and 61 runs, respectively. Unsurprisingly, Karunaratne (total 133) and Nissanka (total 94) have been the top batters, and they were the two batsmen projected to lead the team, with Nissanka in particular averaging 52 runs per game in his last eight matches. Expect Karunaratne and Nissanka to dominate the remaining games at the crease as well. There was no doubt that Hasaranga, the leg-spinner, would be the most important bowler on the team heading into the Qualifiers. This has continued in recent matches, as he has taken an absurd 11/37 in just two games! His 5/13 and 6/24 marks are outstanding, and we can’t wait to see how he handles the Irish batters.

Ireland (Match Odds – 3.55):

Preview:

Ireland has never been a powerhouse cricket team, but they must be disappointed with their results thus far. The two losses make it nearly impossible to advance to the next stage. The first game was a loss to Oman, despite Dockrell’s 91-run batting performance, but the Irish bowlers were not challenging enough, and many gave up too many runs with zero wickets. The loss to Scotland had a few bright spots, including Campher’s 120 runs, Dockrell’s 69 runs, and Adair’s bowling figures of 3/57, but Ireland overall performed poorly. Scotland won by one wicket, so it was a close game.

Full Squad:

Andrew Balbirnie (c), PJ Moor, Paul Stirling, Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker, Mark Adair, Curtis Campher, Gareth Delany, George Dockrell, Graham Hume, Josh Little, Andy McBrine, Barry McCarthy, Ben White, Craig Young

Sri Lanka vs Ireland Toss Prediction

Bowling first appears to be the better option, as the pitch can help batters later in the game. When the captain chooses to bowl first, the team wins 43 of the 77 ODIs.

Sri Lanka vs Ireland Pitch Report

Batters prefer this pitch because of its low bounce and little movement, though spinners can get a solid turn if they are experienced enough. It’s likely to be a high-scoring match, as 400-point totals have been seen here before. On Sunday, it will be a sunny afternoon in Bulawayo. In Africa, there is no sign of rain throughout the month. The temperature will range from 21 to 26 degrees. Because the wind speed is only 5 km, there will be no movement in the air for the bowlers.

Sri Lanka vs Ireland Prediction

We believe Sri Lanka is the favourite and will easily defeat an inferior team such as Ireland. Hasaranga is bowling brilliantly and receiving good support from Kumara, and batsmen Karunaratne and Nissanka are an excellent pair to have in the side. We believe Sri Lanka will win without breaking a sweat, especially if they bowl first. These two teams haven’t played in a while, but Sri Lanka has beaten Ireland 3/5 times (two matches were abandoned), most recently by 136 runs in 2016.  Check out the odds at Cricbaba!

Sri Lanka is the favourite to beat Ireland at the odds of 1.30.

Sri Lanka vs Ireland Most Recommended Players for Bet:

Pathum Nissanka and Dimuth Karunaratne put on a 95-run first-wicket stand and both scored half-centuries. Based on their track record, we expect the duo to put up another strong performance here.
