Lancashire vs Nottinghamshire Batsmen Worth Watching

Steven Croft led Lancashire Lightning’s successful chase of only 100 against Leicestershire Foxes, scoring 46 not out. Daryl Mitchell completed the victory with a six off the 11.3rd ball of the innings, and the New Zealand international appears to be in top form.

Notts Outlaws had two half-centuries at Trent Bridge, with Joe Clarke hitting 68 runs from 29 balls at the top of the order and Matthew Montgomery contributing 51 runs from 29 balls at number four. Alex Hales had only 12 runs, but Colin Munro had a typically aggressive 23 runs from 15 balls.

Lancashire vs Nottinghamshire Bowlers Worth Watching

Although Saqib Mahmood caught the eye with figures of 3-17 from 3.5 overs on Thursday, it was Lancashire Lightning’s left-arm pace bowler Luke Wood who produced the best figures once again. He took 3-11 (including a maiden over) to go with his 3-31 against Derbyshire Falcons the previous Saturday.

Only Lyndon James and T20 veteran Samit Patel failed to take a wicket for Notts Outlaws on Friday night, with the other five bowlers all taking at least one wicket. Steven Mullaney took 2-37, and Shaheen Shah Afridi, who will enjoy the pace at Old Trafford, took a wicket on debut.

Lancashire vs Nottinghamshire Toss Prediction

In T20 cricket, the team batting first has won 54% of the matches played at Old Trafford in Manchester. This will be the first match of the season at the venue. The batting team is expected to bat first.

Lancashire vs Nottinghamshire Pitch Report

This Vitality T20 Blast match will take place at Manchester’s Old Trafford stadium. At this venue, the batting wicket is good, and a par score will be close to 200. Because this is a new pitch, the ball should come on nicely to the bat. Batters can begin hitting the ball very early because they can rely on the bounce of this wicket.
