The final, which will be played just one hour after the completion of this game, will include Somerset, who are in excellent form and will be attempting to cement their place there. Despite losing in the semi-final the year before, this time around, they are well-positioned to go to the final thanks to their formidable bowling attack. In this team, the bowlers Craig Overton, Matt Henry, and Ish Sodhi will be crucial players. In their recent victory over the Notts Outlaws, captain Lewis Gregory and bowling all-rounder Ben Green, who is vital with the ball, both contributed with the bat. When Somerset chased a 158-run target, they were 5 down for 62 runs. These two put up an unbroken 96-run partnership to help Somerset win by 5 wickets. In the middle order, Sean Dickinson has also significantly contributed.

This is excellent news for Somerset since they now have some dependable middle-order players to mount a comeback in the event that the top-order falters. The likes of Tom Batnon, Will Smeed, and Tom Kohler-Cadmore, though, will have a solid outing and score runs at the top given the pitch conditions at Edgbaston. With a strong bowling attack and a robust batting lineup with dependable and in-form players, Somerset is well-positioned to win this match.

Preview

Following three consecutive losses, Surrey was able to snap their losing streak by defeating Lancashire in the quarterfinal at Manchester. As Surrey successfully defended a total of 187 runs, the bowlers finally turned in a performance. At the Kennington Oval in London, Surrey scored 195 runs while batting first in their last game, but they still lost. At number 5, Narine’s 78 off 37 proved ineffective. For Surrey, the bowlers have had a lot of difficulty scoring in previous games. Chris Jordan, the captain, has demonstrated excellent economy and appears to have a flair for making breakthroughs. Others, like Sam Curran and Sean Abbott, have experienced severe difficulties and have cost a lot of money. In the middle order, Sam Curran, Sunil Narine, and Jamie Overton will be crucial players. Surrey has a very deep batting order with a lot of all-rounders, but there are only a few, and only at the top who are specialists.

Somerset vs Surrey Pitch Report

On the day of the Finals, all the games will take place in Birmingham at Edgbaston. The average first innings score in domestic T20 games played here is 163 runs, making it a fantastic location for T20 cricket. Given the characteristics of this pitch and the powerful batters on both teams, we believe a game-winning total should be higher than 190-195.

This pitch has a lot of bounce and speed, and the ball comes into the bat in a way that enables batters to play their strokes perfectly. Recently, teams have been bowled out for below-average totals, which has surprised some people. On the day of the game in Birmingham, a high of 17 degrees Celsius is predicted with thunderstorms.
