The Ashes 2023: England vs Australia – 3rd Test Preview and Updates

Australia is going to play England in the 3rd test Ashes 2023 at Headingley from July 6th to July 11th. After a historical game at Lords, Australia is leading the series by 2-0 and they are just one win away from clutching the series in the English soil since 2001. 

In the 2nd test, England won the toss and decided to bowl. With the Australian top 3 putting a good run on the board, Steven Smith stood up on the occasion and scored 110 runs in 184 balls. Australia scored 416 runs in the first innings. 

Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett had a good start for the English side. Crawley scored 48 runs but was trapped by Nathan Lyon. Ben Duckett was holding the other end but unfortunately fell for the short ball and missed his century by just 2 runs. England collapsed at 325 runs. 

Australia scored 279 runs in the 2nd innings and gave England a target of 371 runs to chase.
