Sikandar Raza, their star all-rounder, will be their most important player, and the team’s hopes of progressing to the next stage will rely heavily on him. Raza has been in sensational form this year, smashing three ODI centuries in August alone, earning him the ICC’s coveted Player of the Month award. During Zimbabwe’s unbeaten run in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Global Qualifier B campaign, he was also named Player of the Tournament. Ireland has played more than 20 T20Is this year, giving them plenty of practice time before the big tournament. While Kevin O’Brien, who retired earlier this year, will be missed, Ireland still has plenty of depth in their ranks.
